Tomorrow X Together surprised fans with the group’s first carol, “Sweet Dreams,” Thursday.

The band gave just three hours’ prior notice in announcing the song’s release. The news came with an image that showed the five bandmates, each as a stamp, with a Christmas tree.

In the R&B-based tune featuring melodic piano sounds, they wish everyone a warm Christmas despite the challenging time, with only good things in the future.

Yeonjun and Huening Kai participated in writing the melody and Soobin, Taehyun and Huening Kai pitched in for the lyrics.

“We were sorry that we didn’t have many chances to meet Moa in person this year ... and worked on the music hoping we could pay back the love Moa gave us in what little way possible,” the band said, referring to their fan group.

Moonbyul of Mamamoo will come back with third solo EP “6quence” on Jan. 19, announced RBW Entertainment on Thursday.

It has been almost two years since her previous solo album, “Dark Side of the Moon,” and a single will be dropped in advance on Dec. 30, whetting the appetite of eagerly awaiting fans. The prerelease will be a collaboration with singer-songwriter Seori.

The timetable, which compared the release of the EP to that of a movie, had a film reel and a moon for Jan. 10 and 14, respectively, leaving some of the teaser contents a mystery.

Meanwhile, the band will appear in a livestream hosted by Moonbyul on Friday to celebrate Christmas Eve together. The quartet will play games and sing karaoke as well as enjoy food together. The highlight of the live broadcast will be reading fan letters and looking back at their seven-year career.

Apink to reunite for February return: report

(Credit: IST Entertainment)

Veteran girl group Apink has finalized its plans to return as a whole unit, according to a local media report Thursday.

All six bandmates, including Son Naeun who moved to YG Entertainment in June, were shooting a music video on the same day, according to the report, adding the group is set to come out with a new album in February.

It has been almost two years since their previous album, and approximately 10 months since the previous song.

Even though Son is with another company while the rest of them renewed their contracts with IST Entertainment, they are each still devoted to the band and will continue to work as a team, IST Entertainment said in June.

The band debuted in 2011 with “I Don’t Know.”

On Dec. 31, Apink will host a fan meeting event and, as Jung Eunji said in a recent interview, “will meet fans face-to-face and comfort them.”
