Hanmi Global said Wednesday it has signed a preliminary agreement with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) to share educational contents on construction management.
The construction management company has recently developed an online education platform, tentatively called Global PM University, to foster professionals in project management and offer knowledge on construction to the general public.
The CIOB, established in 1834, is a global professional body for construction management that accredits university degrees and offers educational courses. With branches in the US, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, the CIOB has some 50,000 members in over 100 countries.
Hanmi Global and the CIOB agreed in the memorandum of understanding to share educational contents including videos, discuss producing joint programs and cooperate in overseas marketing.
“We signed the MOU to quickly adapt to the fast-changing construction environment and secure new, specialized technological contents,” said Hanmi Global President Lee Sang-ho.
“With quality programs, we expect to enhance the project management capabilities of our professionals and offer architectural knowledge to the general public.”
