Minho of SHINee will meet with fans in person at a fan event on Dec. 21.

It has been two years and nine months since his previous solo fan meeting, growing anticipation for the event that will also be broadcast live through Naver’s V Live for fans from around the world.

The veteran idol will put on a performance and talk to fans as well as play games, quenching the thirst of fans who have been waiting for a chance to see him on stage.

In addition to his activities as part of SHINee, Minho has been busy appearing in a variety of entertainment programs on TV. He also is branching into acting. He will debut in Netflix original drama “The Fabulous,” taking the male lead role as a freelance photo editor trying to make it in Korea’s fashion industry. Additionally, he is shooting for Kakao TV original drama “Goosebumps,” as a main character in one episode of the eight-part horror series.

Rose of Blackpink recently came into close contact with a person who contracted COVID-19, according to a local media report Wednesday.

She canceled all activities including an appearance for a Tiffany’s promotional event at a pop-up shop at a department store in central Seoul, scheduled for Thursday. She was named the American jeweler’s global ambassador in April and has been the face of its HardWear range.

The musician returned from Los Angeles last week after being spotted at Paris Hilton’s wedding in Santa Monica, California, with bandmate Jennie. She was spotted at the Madison Square Garden earlier this month watching the New York Knicks play the Milwaukee Bucks.

According to current guidelines, after a negative PCR test, those who have not been vaccinated are required to self-quarantine for 10 days. Those fully vaccinated are exempt if they do not show any symptoms.

Hyorin will drop a new song named “Layin’ Low” on Tuesday, agency Bridge announced Wednesday.

The company uploaded the jacket of the album showing the songstress striking a provocative pose. High-heeled ankle boots made of patent leather hint at the song that features a heel dance performance, which helped the video of her previous song “Dally,” from 2020, garner more than 45 million views on YouTube.

The former member of Sistar hinted at a return with a clip that gave fans a glimpse of the heel dance choreography earlier this month.

In August, she teamed up with former bandmate Dasom for “Summer or Summer,” as part of a project album that donated proceeds to those in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

AB6IX put out the EP “Absolute 6IX,” making its presence official in Japan on Wednesday.

The band already has amassed a fandom in the country by participating in festivals such as Aichi Impact 2021. Lee Daehwi produced “One Day,” an ending theme song for the second season of pop competition “Produce 101 Japan” in June, while Jeon Woong was featured on Japanese musician Noa’s digital single “Let Go” in August.

The EP consists of six tracks: main track “Breathe” as well as Japanese versions of songs including “Shining Stars,” and an English version of “Hollywood.”

“We’re finally making an official debut in Japan. We’re so happy since it has long been our dream,” the bandmates said when the news was confirmed last month. Promising they would try to meet the expectations of their fans in Japanese, they hoped fans would not be too disappointed that they will not be able to meet in person due to the global pandemic.

The band will take to its YouTube channel for Japanese fans to promote its debut later Tuesday.
