Skies cleared up with temperatures as high as 31 degrees Celsius in Seoul and central regions Wednesday as Typhoon Prapiroon passed over the East Sea.
Cloudy skies are forecast to envelop Korea toward the afternoon. The peninsula will stay relatively dry in the morning but showers will fall in Seoul, western Gangwon Province, and South Chungcheong and North Gyeongsang provinces toward the afternoon.

Humidity levels have risen in the wake of the heavy rain brought by the typhoon
Typhoon Prapiroon will exit Korean territory around 9 p.m. Wednesday through the northeast side of Dokdo. However, Korea may face Typhoon Maria, which started from Guam and is moving northeast, though the weather agency said it is difficult to predict its route.
Fine dust levels across the country are expected to be in the “good” and “normal” ranges.
