A man in his 50s was arrested for allegedly stabbing a younger peer from his alma mater in the neck after he felt reportedly disrespected, Busan police said Monday.
According to Busan-jin Police Station, the 54-year-old suspect, surnamed Kim, is being charged with attempted murder and is currently undergoing questioning by the police.
Kim reportedly stabbed the 53-year-old victim in the neck following a heated argument at approximately 11:54 p.m. Sunday night in front of a motel in Bujeon-dong, Busan.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is recovering from his stab wound, according to authorities.
Dispatched police officers said they arrested Kim near the motel. Kim claimed to have stabbed the victim because the victim reportedly showed disrespect by spitting out insults.
Police plan to request the court for an arrest warrant after rounding up the investigation with regards to his exact motive.
