Seogwipo Police Station in Jeju Province said Tuesday that it has arrested a man surnamed Kim in his 40s and that it is investigating him on the charge of murder of a woman in her 20s by inflicting violence on her.
The suspect is accused of killing the woman at her apartment in Gangjeong-dong, Seogwipo, Jeju Province.
He reportedly called the emergency services immediately after the incident took place.

Police arrested him without a warrant following the autopsy result that the woman died from a rupture of the pancreas.
The suspect appears to be refusing to give a statement to police.
