Midsize home appliance maker Dayou Winia will start selling its products abroad by tapping into its affiliate Daewoo Electronics’ vast overseas network, according to the company on Tuesday.
Flagship Dayou Winia products -- including the Proud refrigerator, Dimchae Cook rice cooker, kimchi fridge Petit and air conditioner Winia -- are now on sale at more than 100 retailers in the eastern and southern parts of China.

Those products will also be sold at the country’s largest online shopping mall Tmall starting next month.
Dayou Winia used to be a domestically focused electronics maker, while Daewoo Electronics is an export-led business running more than 30 sales offices in other countries.
Dayou Group acquired Daewoo in March.
“By starting to export the Dayou Winia products, Daewoo Electronics will seek boosting profits and find blue oceans for both companies,” said Ahn Jung-gu, CEO of Daewoo Electronics.
From September, Dayou Winia will start entering the Southeast Asian market with a goal of further expanding the global sales network.
