DIA TV, an online and TV channel for individual content creators, said its number of subscribers had surpassed 160 million as of the end of April, surging from 44 million two years ago.

Content on DIA TV, which is run by South Korean entertainment giant CJ E&M, saw an accumulated 32 billion hits as of the end of last year, following the service’s launch in 2015.
“DIA TV will continue to support creative and influential content, so we can actively regularize digital commerce via content and also expand our presence in global markets,” said Kim Dae-wook from DIA TV.
According to DIA TV, the number of creators with at least a million subscribers on their channels rose to 22, about fourfold more compared to the previous year.
The top five creators in terms of the number of subscribers include music-related channel One Million Dance Studio (923 million) and kids channel Toy Monster (763 million).
To provide differentiated services, DIA TV said it would continue to partner with brands, host offline content exhibitions, like the DIA Festival, as well as produce original content.
