An event attended by K-pop band Apink’s member Son Na-eun was disrupted as a bomb threat targeting her was reported to the police Thursday. The threat comes from a fan of the band who sent similar threats to the band members several times over the past several months, according to Plan A Entertainment, the band’s agency.
An alumni event at Dongguk University in Seoul, was halted for 20 minutes while the police searched the venue following a bomb threat targeting Son Na-eun of Apink at the event. (Yonhap)
The agency said the bomb threat targeted Son attending a promotional event for a donation campaign held at Dongguk University in Seoul. The event, attended by other celebrities including Lee Gyung-kyu and Chae Jung-ahn, was halted for some 20 minutes in order for the police to conduct a search of the venue.
According to the agency, the person behind the repeated threats, has been identified as a man residing in Canada, who has been subject to investigation by Interpol as per request from the agency.
