An elementary school teacher has been sentenced to six years in prison for sexually harassing underage students in his class.
Upholding a lower court’s decision, the Supreme Court on Friday sentenced the teacher to six years in prison, in addition to six years of electronic monitoring through an ankle bracelet and online disclosure of his personal information.
According to the investigation, the male teacher in his 30s is charged with sexually harassing seven female students aged between 10 and 11 over 38 times since June 2014.
He insisted that the victims’ testimonies lacked credibility, referring to inconsistencies. However, the court said those inconsistencies are likely to have occurred naturally, as those who testified are children.
