BTS’s new EP became the highest-charting album ever on the Billboard 200 by a K-pop act, beating the group’s own record set last year with “Wings,” according to Billboard. The group’s 2016 album peaked at No. 26.
Billboard also noted on its website that “Love Yourself Seung Her” took the spot on the chart with 31,000 equivalent album units sold in the week ending Sept. 21, citing data from Nielsen Music.
“Love Yourself Seung Her,” BTS’ most successful release to date, sold more than 750,000 copies in the first week, according to its agency Monday. BTS has also become the first Korean act to land on global music streaming service Spotify’s Global Top 50 playlist.
