K-pop boy band Beast may be taking on a new venture in the entertainment industry.

The group, which celebrated its seventh anniversary earlier this month, is reportedly partnering with a former producer from JYP Pictures -- a moving pictures unit of K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment -- to create a new entertainment agency, according to industry insiders on Thursday.

With this new project, Beast is setting its sights beyond the music industry with the aim of appearing in more dramas, variety shows and movies, according to local media reports.

“Nothing is set in stone yet,” said the boy band’s former management agency, Cube Entertainment. “The discussion is ongoing.”

Beast has yet to renew its contract with Cube Entertainment which ended on Oct. 16.

Since debuting in 2009, the five-member act has had a number of hits, including “Fiction,” “Shock” and “Ribbon.” The group released its third studio album “Highlight” in July.
