Bang Yong-guk, the lead vocalist for K-pop group B.A.P, will be halting all promotional activities due to a recent diagnosis of panic disorder.

“I will do my best to return stronger,” Bang said on Twitter on Tuesday. “As a leader, I am regretful and sorry that I cannot stand by (B.A.P) members and our fans.”

The group’s management agency TS Entertainment also followed up with a statement that said, “putting (Bang’s) fast recovery as our top priority, we decided to start the album promotion without him so that he can solely focus on his recovery through professional treatment.”

The announcement came just a few hours after the boy band revealed teaser images for its upcoming studio album “Noir,” scheduled to be released on Nov. 7.

The 26-year-old is the latest of a recent wave of K-pop idols taking a break due to mental health issues.

This month, K-pop group Crayon Pop’s member Soyul and Nam Tae-hyun from boy band WINNER announced that they will be putting public appearances on hold due to mental health reasons.
