Samsung Electronics said on Oct. 20 it will unveil a premium mobile digital radiograph at an industry congress this week.
The GM85 digital X-ray features “exceptional mobility, enhanced user convenience and a high image quality,” Samsung said in a statement.
The new machine will be unveiled at the 19th World Congress of International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists, which starts its three-day run from Thursday in Seoul.
Jun Dong-soo, head of Samsung‘s medical equipment business, said in the statement, “Driven by Samsung’s relentless spirit of innovation, the GM85‘s enhanced mobility and streamlined workflow will enable users to experience a new level of efficiency.”
“Samsung will take the lead in providing a spectrum of diagnostic and patient-centric tools to meet the various needs of both care provider and patient,” Jun said.
At 555 mm in width and 349 kg in weight, the digital X-ray allows easy access even in tight spaces like elevators, Samsung said.
The GM85 will be available for sale in South Korea at the end of this month and will be launched globally in line with each country’s regulatory schedule, Samsung said.
