[THE INVESTOR] Global Sae-A, the holding company of apparel maker Sae-A, is launching a golfwear range next year, according to media reports on Aug. 29.

Based on the fabric sourcing knowhow compiled by its affiliate Sae-A, a leading OEM/ODM apparel maker that has catered to international clients since 1986, the company is seeking to establish a brand of its own with a sales target of 50 billion won (US$44.50 million) to be reached in two years.

Hansae, another marker leader whose clients include Nike, Abercrombie and Gap, has been expanding the business acquiring 40 percent stake in MK Trend, which owns several casualwear brands as well as a sales right for LPGA Gallery and NBA ranges in July. It has its own childrenswear lines and also took over denim brand FRJ last year.
