[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics is seeking partners to jointly develop nine key technologies such as fingerprint-proof coating, quick-charging and social network service analysis for its upcoming smartphones.

The company’s mobile business division recently announced the plan on Samsung’s website for global partnership management www.secbuy.com. It is the first time that the division has unveiled its next key projects and sought partnership with outside developers.
Fingerprint-proof coating aims to prevent fingerprint smudges on touch-screen displays, a headache for Samsung that is increasingly adopting a metal body for its smartphone lineups.
For quick-charging, the company said it hopes to elevate capacity of the current 10 watt charger to some 30 watts.
The company also said it is working on new technology analyzing latest trends on social network services to recommend gadgets, brands and restaurants for targeting users.
Other technologies sought include: navigation technology that detects locations of connected devices; 2-D stereo graphics; overheating prevention; highly sensitive micro receiver chip; power consumption analysis app; and background processor management.
