After MBC officially announced comedian Jung Hyung-don’s withdrawal from the popular variety show “Infinite Challenge” last month, the remaining cast members formally addressed the matter on the show’s latest episode which aired on Aug. 6.
The broadcast network cited “health-related issues” as the reason for Jung’s departure after a 9-month-long hiatus, adding “(Jung) decided that it would be difficult to return as the pressure of coming back to ‘Infinite Challenge’ was unlikely to go away.”

The 38-year-old co-host of the show has been with “Infinite Challenge” since its launch in 2005, but halted all broadcast activities last November due to his anxiety disorder.
On Saturday’s episode, the remaining cast members publicly discussed the issue for the first time on the “Muhan News” segment of the show.
“We have shared tears and laughter,” said co-host Yoo Jae-suk. “We look forward to reuniting (with Jung) once he is in better health. Thank you for all you’ve done.”
