Kumho Tire has signed a two-year partnership with Tottenham Hotspur starting from the 2016-17 season, it announced Wednesday.

At a ceremony held at Hotspur Way in London on July 19 local time, Kumho Tire CEO Lee Han-seob shook hands with club manager Mauricio Pochettino, celebrating the launch of the partnership with the English soccer club. Players including Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen attended the event.

“We are thrilled to be working with such a prestigious and globally renowned football club, and the partnership will provide us with the ideal platform to communicate with consumers across the world. We are particularly excited about our involvement with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and the opportunity to make a difference within the club’s local community,” said Lee.

The second-largest tire maker will be able to promote itself with LED advertisements at Tottenham’s home stadium as well as on the team’s brochures and official website. As the U.K.’s premier league attracts more than 930 million viewers across the world -- last season’s viewing rights sales amounted to 3 trillion won ($2.63 billion) -- the company believes it will certainly help boost its image, as it did in 2007.
