Upcoming summer film “Tunnel” will be representing the Korean film industry at the annual Locarno International Film Festival.

The story of a man’s fight for survival as the lone victim of a tunnel collapse, the thriller-drama will be screened in the non-competitive Piazza Grande program, according to the event’s official website.

Also included in the section are Paul Greengrass’ much anticipated “Jason Bourne,” Colm McCarthy’s adaptation of M.R. Carey’s award-winning novel “The Girl with All the Gifts,” Ken Loach’s 2016 Cannes Palme d’Or winner “I, Daniel Blake,” and others.

Celebrating its 69th year, LIFF will take place in Locarno, Switzerland from Aug. 3-13.

“I feel that Locarno 69 is one of the most varied, free, surprising editions to date, both in its guest list and in its line-up of titles,” said the festival’s artistic director Carlo Chatrian in a statement.

At the 2015 event, Korean director Hong Sang-soo’s “Right Now, Wrong Then” took home two awards, including the top Golden Leopard prize and Best Actor for Jung Jae-young.

Featuring actors Ha Jung-woo, Bae Doona and Oh Dal-su, “Tunnel” is set to open in local theaters on Aug. 10.
