SK Innovation’s new advertisement featuring a drawing show is going viral online for its creativity, the company’s officials said Tuesday.
The energy solution unit of SK Group released the new advertisement on its official blog and Facebook page on July 1. The advertisement was made in a collaboration with Kim Jung-gi, an artist renowned for creating illustrations without prior sketching.

In the advertisement, Kim illustrates SK Innovation’s achievements on a massive canvas. The accomplishments portrayed include crude oil discoveries, energy products and the overseas sales of electronic vehicle batteries sales, which have contributed to the Korean economy, according to the officials.
The advertisement was shared more than 500 times on the firm’s Facebook page and there were also comments that praised its uniqueness.
“It is astonishing that the advertisement went viral online before it went broadcast on television,” said a senior SK Innovation official.
