Samsung's dryer gets top marks from U.S. consumer reviewer

A clothes dryer manufactured by Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. has received the best evaluation from a U.S. consumer magazine, beating those by foreign rivals, its publication showed Tuesday.

Samsung's dryer, the DV22K6800E, clinched the top spot with 70 points out of 100 in the most recent review by Consumer Reports in the compact category.

U.S. rival General Electric's DCVH480EKWW came in second, followed by Bosch's WTG86402UC and Asko's T754CW, the magazine said

The magazine said the Samsung product was very good at drying, relatively quiet and convenient to use.

Samsung also clinched the top spots in washers, the electric and gas categories of clothes dryers, and the pair category for washers and dryers. (Yonhap)
