She garnered great attention when a video of her dancing was uploaded on the agency’s official blog at
www.yg-life.com in 2012. She has modeled for the fashion brand NONAGON along with K-pop boy band iKON members Bobby and B.I.
The upcoming group, which has yet to be named, is the agency’s first group since the 2009 launch of the K-pop quartet 2NE1. The new group’s debut song will be produced by the agency’s main producer Teddy, who is also responsible for 2NE1’s hit songs “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” “Can’t Nobody,” and “Lonely.”
The agency unveiled the first member Jennie on June 1, who starred in the music video of G-Dragon’s “That XX” in 2012 and performed on “Black” on G-Dragon’s second studio album the following year.
