Korean shares opened slightly lower Thursday, tracking overnight losses on Wall Street.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 0.27 percent, or 5.35 points, to 1,951.38 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

Most large caps were in negative terrain.
Cosmetics giant AmorePacific plunged 1.31 percent, with top portal operator Naver tumbling 1 percent.
Top cap Samsung Electronics added 0.08 percent, while global chipmaker SK hynix advanced 1.91 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,191.45 won against the U.S. dollar, down 8.85 won from the previous session's close. (Yonhap)
