Samsung Electronics said Friday it would offer some 18.1 billion won ($14.9 million) worth of incentives to employees at its subcontractors in the chip segment.

The South Korean tech giant said the incentives would be given in the form of rewards to 10,000 workers at around 100 subcontract firms that complied with safety regulations. The amount reflects a 27 percent rise from the 14.2 billion won the company handed out six months earlier.

Samsung first began the incentive program in 2013, offering rewards once a year. In 2015, the firm decided to raise that to twice a year.

On Thursday, the world’s largest tech company said its semiconductor business posted an operating profit of 2.8 trillion won in the fourth quarter of 2015, a tad higher than the 2.7 trillion won posted a year earlier.
