This weekend's box office in Korea is full of thrills and action, with Korean flicks such as "The Exclusive: Beat the Devil's Tattoo" and "The Phone" featuring murder, intrigue and mystery.

The Exclusive: Beat the Devil’s Tattoo (Korea)

Suspended reporter Heo Moo-hyuk thinks that he’s got the exclusive of a lifetime when he finds a handwritten note from a wanted serial killer. His bureau chief agrees, but after the story runs it becomes clear that Heo has made a terrible mistake. Meanwhile, the police are hounding him at work, and his story spreads like wildfire through the Internet.

A year after losing his wife to a horrific murder, lawyer Ko Dong-ho is leading a devastated, wasted life. Just as he is thinking about getting back on track, he gets a call on his phone -- from his wife, who is calling from one year ago. Realizing he has a chance to save his wife in the past and change his present, Ko tries to investigate his wife's murder from the future.

Circle of Atonement (Korea)
