K-pop mogul Park Jin-young will return to the stage as an artist in his own right, according to industry sources Sunday.
The singer, producer and chief of JYP Entertainment will release a new album of original tracks on April 13. It will be Park’s first new release in 19 months, following his 10th album “Halftime” in September 2013.
Sources say that Park is putting the final touches on his album, personally working on the music, lyrics and choreography. He is expected to release a teaser and his promotion schedule sometime next week.

The timing of Park’s new album means that the singer-producer will be promoting it alongside two other artists at JYP Entertainment: girl group Miss A and Park Ji-min of the duo 15&. Miss A is currently promoting its No. 1 hit “Only You,” and Park Ji-min released her solo debut song “Hopeless Love” on Sunday.
In addition to working on his album, Park Jin-young currently appears as a judge on the audition program “K-pop Star.”
