Fall trekking around JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul
JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul presents a trekking package which invites guests to explore the historic places surrounding the hotel. Guests can choose from three packages: a room-only package, a room and breakfast package and the executive room package. The package, available until Nov. 30, is priced at 299,000 won for the Deluxe Room, 349,000 won for the Deluxe Room with breakfast for two at Tavolo 24 and 369,000 won for the Executive Deluxe Room, including access to the executive lounge and sauna. The trekking courses include the 6 km round-trip Cheonggyecheon course, which follows Cheonggyecheon Stream in downtown Seoul; the 4.6 km round-trip Seoul Heritage Fortress course; 3.4 km round-trip from Heunginjimun Gate to the Jangchung Gymnasium and the 9.3 km round-trip course from Jangchung Gymnasium to Sungnyemun Gate. Autumn mushroom gourmet event at Grand Hyatt Seoul
Grand Hyatt Seoul’s European restaurant The Paris Grill introduced a new seasonal cuisine featuring mushrooms. The “Autumn Mushroom Gourmet” presents a selection of the finest mushrooms, including truffles, pine mushrooms, Shinmeji mushrooms and Shiitake mushrooms, selected by the master chef Marco Mehr. Pine mushrooms are noted as a healthy food because of their anticancer and cholesterol-reducing properties. Truffles, one of the three delicacies of France, are noted for their delicate pine scent. The mushroom promotion offers 4-6 course menu offerings, including confit of duck leg roll with black truffles, cranberries and peanuts, sauteed domestic halibut with pine mushrooms and asparagus mushroom ragout. New afternoon tea set at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul
The Lobby Lounge of JW Marriott Hotel Seoul presents a new afternoon tea set, featuring a range of seasonal pumpkin, persimmon, chestnut and apple desserts with coffee or tea. The tea set, available until Nov. 30, consists of persimmon chocolate, a combination of sweet persimmon and dark chocolate, chestnut cookies and tartlets, crispy chestnut biscotti, fruit-filled apple strudel, sweet apple tart and pumpkin pie. For tea selection, nine Ronnefeldt herbal teas, including peach garden, cream orange, vanilla rooibos and orange and Ceylon English breakfast, are served with desserts. Aloft Seoul Gangnam opens in Seoul
Aloft Seoul Gangnam, of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, opened in the business district of Gangnam, Seoul. The hotel features 188 guest rooms, including four suites. Each room features platform beds, walk-in showers with custom amenities by Bliss Spa and plug-n-play docking stations that link tablets, laptops or music devices to the 42” LCD TV in the room. The hotel also offers meeting space with the state-of-the-art facilities. The hotel runs a 24-hour grab-and-go beverage area and an all-day dining restaurant serving buffet breakfast and diverse international selections from an a la carte menu. The K-Hotel Seoul upgraded to five-star hotelThe K-Hotel Seoul has been elevated to a five-star hotel with the opening of the convention center and facility extensions. The hotel located in Yangjae, southern Seoul, offers easy access to the business district of Gangnam. It also opened a new Italian restaurant Uccello on the hotel lobby. The 304-seat restaurant themed with Venetian cuisine offers 30 dishes, including caprese salad, seafood pasta and fillet steak. To celebrate the opening, the restaurant offers a 15 percent discount on the entire menu and beverages until Nov. 9.
