Two of the most popular local rock bands, Crying Nut and No Brain, will be releasing a collaborative album for the first time in their near two-decade long careers, according to an announcement by Mirrorball Music on Monday.

The upcoming EP is titled “96,” representing the year that the two bands first met. Although the album’s exact release date has not yet been revealed, it has been announced that the EP will feature the bands performing one another’s past hit singles.

The four members of No Brain will tackle Crying Nut’s all-time representative tracks “Luxembourg,” “Pigeon” and “Maldalija,” arguably one of the best known punk songs in Korea. The rockers of Crying Nut will take on No Brain’s “A Seaman,” “Beautiful World” and “You’ve Fallen for Me.”

The album will also include the lead single “96,” which is a collaborative track sung by No Brain lead singer Lee Sung-woo and Crying Nut’s Park Yoon-sick.
