DBLY released Toddy Palm Jaggery, a sugar replacement made with natural ingredients.
It is extracted from Toddy Palm in Myanmar and processed at the HACCP-accredited factory in Korea. Toddy Palm extract is known to contain abundant polyphenol, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C and other beneficial ingredients.
“The glycemix index of unrefined brown sugar made from palm sap is 35, lower than sugar’s 109 or honey’s 88. It means that the liquid does not raise a person’s blood glucose level following consumption as much as other sweeteners. It could be a good sugar replacement for those with diabetes or hypertension,” the company said.
Toddy Palm Jaggery is priced at 15,000 won per 650 gram-bottle.
