영국 리즈 (Leeds)에서 15세 남학생이 61세의 스페인어를 가르치는 교사를 학생들이 보는 앞에서 교실에서 무참하게 찔러 살해했다고 UPI가 보도했다.
사건의 동기는 아직 알려지지 않았다고 경찰측은 밝혔다.
이 학생은 교실에서 앤 매그와이어 (Anne Maguire)교사를 살해했지만 다른 학생들을 위협하거나 해하지는 않은 것으로 알려졌다.
매그와이어 교사는 학교의 롤모델이었으며 존경 받는 선생님으로 알려졌다.

15-year-old stabs teacher to death in front of students in Leeds
A 15 year-old boy stabbed a teacher to death at a school in Leeds, where the 61 year-old Anne Maguire taught Spanish.
Police were called to Corpus Christi Catholic College at 12:00 p.m. local time. The unidentified teen assailant was detained by teachers after the attack and turned over to police.
West Yorkshire Police Chief Superintendent Paul Money said “The incident itself was over very quickly and no other pupils were threatened or injured,” acknowledging “this has clearly been a very traumatic situation for those involved.”
Students at the school took to Twitter to express their condolences for the slain teacher. One tweet said Maguire “made our Year 11 best best time of our life, what an amazing woman RIP.” Another called her “probably the best teacher ever.”
Police described the stabbing as an “isolated incident.”
There was no further information regarding a possible motive for the stabbing. (UPI)
