Spanish woman named new nanny for Prince George
A Spanish woman was named the new nanny for ‘royal baby’ Prince George, the first born of the duke and duchess of Cambridge, British media outlet reported Friday.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, a Spanish nanny who has worked in the U.K. for two decades, graduated from Norland College, one of the world’s most competitive academies for nannies, Express reports.
Borrallo will be accompanying the royal family in their tour of New Zealand and Australia in April, in charge of looking after the royal baby.
The nanny, single and in her 30s, “is married to her job,” Express reports. Her predecessor is Jessie Webb, 71, who worked as the former nanny of Prince William.
“Maria is a full-time nanny, who started work with us recently… We will not be giving further details, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are delighted she has chosen to join them,” A Kensington Palace spokesman was quoted as saying.
