Nicole went to the U.S. to study right after her contract with her management company, DSP Media, recently ended. She is currently considering a solo career and will return to South Korea at the end of March.
She is reportedly planning to open a bakery in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The plans of Ji-young, another departing member, are also drawing attention in online communities.
Ji-young has decided not to renew her contract, which is set to expire in April. There were rumors that she was in a relationship with Geon-il from boy band Supernova.
She has yet to announce her next move as a K-pop star but she is expected to pursue both studying and acting after her contract expires.
According to a statement released by DSP Media, KARA will continue with the original members Ha-ra, Gyu-lee and Seung-yeon.
