지동원 독일 복귀전 득점포, 최우수선수

‘지동캅’ 지동원(23·아우크스부르크)이 녹슬지 않고 더 날카로워진 기량으로 독일 분데스리가 무대 복귀를 신고했다. 복귀 첫 경기에서 득점포를 가동하며 향후 전망을 환하게 밝혔다.

지동원은 26일(한국시간) 독일 도르트문트의 지그날 이두나 파크에서 열린 도르트문트와의 독일 프로축구 2013-2014시즌 18라운드 원정경기에서 1-2로 뒤진 후반 27분 동점골을 기록했다.

미드필더 안드레 한이 페널티지역 오른쪽에서 올린 크로스를 골지역 오른쪽에서기습적 헤딩으로 연결해 골망을 흔들었다. 아우크스부르크는 지동원의 골에 힘입어 2-2로 비겼다.

지동원은 이날 경기에서 후반 25분에 조커로 투입돼 불과 2분 만에 골을 터뜨려마르쿠스 바인지를 아우크스부르크 감독에게 전술적 만족감을 선사했다. 이날 경기는 지동원의 아우크스부르크 복귀전이었다.

지동원은 지난 시즌 겨울 이적시장에서 잉글랜드 프리미어리그 선덜랜드에서 아우크스부르크로 임대돼 팀의 1부 리그 잔류를 견인했다.

그는 당시 임대 기간인 17경기에서 5골을 터뜨린 뒤 이번 시즌 선덜랜드로 복귀했다. 지동원은 올해 겨울 이적시장에 선덜랜드에서 아우크스부르크로 다시 이적해 이날 첫 경기에 나섰다.

최근 지동원은 선덜랜드에서 좀처럼 출전 기회를 잡지 못하면서 실전감각이 떨어져 애를 태웠다.

그는 아우크스부르크의 러브콜을 계속 받은 만큼 브라질 월드컵을 앞두고 컨디션을 유지할 실전 기회를 넉넉히 얻을 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 분데스리가는 이날 경기의 최우수선수로 지동원을 선정했다.

한편 지동원의 클럽 동료인 한국 축구 대표팀의 중앙 수비수 홍정호(25)는 후반 43분에 교체 투입돼 잠시 그라운드를 밟았다. (onlinenews@heraldcorp.com)

Leverkusen, Dortmund drop points in Bundesliga

Freiburg defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 and Borussia Dortmund was held to 2-2 at home by Augsburg as Bayern Munich's main title rivals both faltered in the Bundesliga on Saturday, according to AP.

Lars Bender scored with Leverkusen's first shot in the fourth minute and Admir Mehmedi equalized with a fine strike in the 27th before Simon Rolfes restored the visitors' lead eight minutes later, the report said.

Jonathan Schmid's free kick squeezed inside the near post in the 53rd, thanks to a light deflection from Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling on his 30th birthday, and Klaus scored the winning goal on a counterattack, it said.

Nuri Sahin restored Dortmund's lead from a free kick in the 66th, only for South Korea midfielder Ji Dong-won, who will join Dortmund next season, to score Augsburg's equalizer in the 72nd just two minutes after going on as a substitute.
