Chi Eun-sang, founder of World Hydro-Tech Inc., and his researchers have been devoted for 35 years to developing water treatment technology, such as water purification, desalination, and waste water recycling.
They developed Hydraction, a hydrogen-rich water generator that has received an international patent and is expected to play a leading role in spreading the use of the invention.
Hydrogen-rich water is said to have anti-aging effects. Hydrogen molecules function as a mild but effective antioxidant, according to the firm.
Several studies also show that hydrogen may have significant therapeutic benefits related to preventing oxidative damage to DNA and cells, the company noted.
Persistent oxidative stress is one of the major causes of most lifestyle-related diseases and cancer, and accelerates the aging process.
Since the first publication of a paper showing the effects of H2 in Nature Medicine in 2007, the biological effects of hydrogen have been confirmed by more than 38 physiological and clinical tests. Several research institutes have conducted clinical examinations.
Hydrogen is also effective in preventing various inflammations and allergies.
“By helping to decrease stress and detoxify the body, hydrogen will change our lives,” Chi said.
