Busker Busker released its long-anticipated second studio album Wednesday, nabbing the top spot on numerous music charts in a matter of hours.
The three-member band features Jang Beom-jun on vocals and guitar, Kim Hyung-tae on bass, and Brad Moore on drums.
Soon after the album’s release, all of its nine tracks were ranked No.1-No.9 on most major online music services including Naver, Bugs, Melon, and Mnet.
Title track “Love, At First” took the top spot on all of the charts.
While Busker Busker’s March, 2012 debut album, “Busker Busker 1st Album” had a springtime theme, the band’s second album is focused on autumn.
Aside from the title track, the album contains songs such as “Autumn Night,” “Too Much Regret,” “Night,” and “Juliette.”
Busker Busker first gained recognition as a promising indie band on cable channel Mnet’s “Superstar K3,” aired in 2011. The band finished as runners-up, with Ulala Session taking first place.
The band signed on with label Chungchun Music in March after their contract with CJ E&M expired.
Meanwhile, Busker Busker is slated to embark on a nationwide tour, performing in Busan on Oct. 3 and moving on to venues in Daegu and Seoul.
