Germany attracts millions of people from around the world to Oktoberfest every September. But those living in Seoul can celebrate the traditional German event at The Grand Hilton Seoul.
The hotel, located in northern Seoul, invites guests for an evening of celebration with beer and traditional German food on Sept. 7. The largest Oktoberfest event in Korea draws more than 1,000 people every year.

Originated in Munich, the festival started as a celebration of the marriage between Crown Prince Ludwig and the Princess Theresa in 1810. Since then, celebrations have continued with costume parades and horse races following tradition.
Guests of The Grand Hilton Seoul can enjoy unlimited German beer, including Munich’s Paulaner hefe-weizen and Oktoberfest lager, as well as traditional festival food such as potato soup, roasted pork and sweet desserts all served by staff in traditional Oktoberfest attire.
Guests can also take to the dance floor and participate in various games such as a beer-drinking contests, hammering contests, and more.
The Paulaner Oktoberfest Band will perform during the fair to heighten the festive mood.
The highlight of the event is a lucky draw with prizes including airline tickets sponsored by Lufthansa, accommodation at Hilton Hotel chains, Ferrari by Logic 3 headphones, backpacks by Millet and cosmetics.
The festival will begin at 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 on the fourth floor of the hotel’s Convention Center. Festival tickets are 140,000 won, including tax and service charges. The ticket includes admission to the festival, food and various events.
The hotel offers a 20,000 won discount on tickets to guests who make an early bird reservation by July 31.
The festival is sponsored by German and Korean companies, including Lufthansa, Paulaner, BMW Korea, Agrosuper, Berentzen, Hwayo, Millet and Hankook Chinaware.
