Peter Tyroller
Bosch’s supervisory board appointed Peter Tyroller to head its Asia-Pacific operations, the company said on Monday.
Headquartered in Shanghai, China, Bosch’s Asia-Pacific division has some 13,800 engineers working in various countries and is expected to grow more.
“The Asia-Pacific will continue to be the main driver of growth for Bosch and I am honored to take over the responsibility for this important region,” said Tyroller.
Since 2006, Tyroller has served as a board member, overseeing the company’s marketing, sales and automotive aftermarket divisions.
“In 2012, the Asia-Pacific already contributed 24 percent to the global sales of the Bosch Group and we have made it our target to increase this figure to 30 percent over the mid-term,” Tyroller added.
Commensurate with the region’s fast growth, Bosch is expected to increase its investment in the Asia-Pacific, starting with 680 million euros ($890 million) this year.
