Rock fans will be treated to performances by world-famous acts Metallica, Muse, Iggy and The Stooges and Limp Bizkit, as well as popular local acts Jang Ki-ha and the Faces and Kwon Soon-kwan, at the upcoming Hyundai Card Super Concert 19 City Break.

The two-day music festival will be held Aug. 17-18 at Jamsil Sports Complex with ticket prices ranging from 250,000 won for a two-day pass to 165,000 won for a one-day pass.

Metallica, from Los Angeles, has been active for more than 30 years and is considered one of the most influential bands in metal. Considered one of the “big four” thrash metal bands along with Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth, the four-member rock band led by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich has released eight studio albums and sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

The English rockers of Muse are also scheduled to rock the stage, showcasing their sixth album “The 2nd Law,” which was released in September. The award-winning group formed in 1994 has since been nominated for five Grammy Awards, and won the Grammy for Best Rock Album for the band’s fifth album “The Resistance.”

Iggy and The Stooges and rap metal outfit Limp Bizkit have both returned from the dead after years of inactivity and join the festival as some of the most anticipated returning acts. Iggy and The Stooges, led by legendary rocker Iggy Pop, was one of the most influential figures in the punk rock arena in the U.S. during the late ’60s and early ’70s. With Iggy Pop deciding to pursue a solo career, The Stooges disbanded in 1975. After a nearly 30-year hiatus, the group reformed in 2003, and in 2012 The Stooges were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Limp Bizkit, led by Fred Durst, is an American nu metal band that pioneered mixing rap and metal. Durst, well known for his abrasive and angry lyrics, reached stardom after forming Limp Bizkit in the mid-’90s. The members returned to their fans on tour in 2009 after a four-year hiatus, and released their latest album “Gold Cobra” two years later.
