A new exhibition highlighting the work of a Korean sports photographer is being held in the Olympic capital city of Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Association of the National Olympic Committees is hosting the exhibition of Kim Min-jae, who has devoted nearly 30 years to covering the Olympic Games, at Beaulieu Convention Center from June 13-17.

The exhibition staged as part of the ANOC general assembly is showcasing some 170 iconic photographs that illustrate the history of the international sports organization, according to the association.

The collection includes portraits of top sports officials, including former ANOC president Mario Vazquez Rana and current president Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, as well as behind the scenes in the past Olympic Games.

Kim, 60, has been taking pictures at the Olympics, including the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, and other major sports competitions since 1986.

Since 2004, Kim has been working exclusively for the ANOC, owing to his close relationship with Rana. In 2008 Kim became the first sports photographer to win a special medal from the association.

Gunilla Lindberg, secretary-general of the ANOC, first suggested the idea of hosting the exhibition to Kim. He has been preparing it since March with full sponsorship from the organization. Kim has held photo exhibitions in Seoul, Osaka, Los Angeles and Sydney.

The ANOC is an umbrella body representing 204 Olympic committees around the globe. Some 1,000 delegates from the 204 members, presidents of the Olympic International Federations, representatives from the Olympic Games Organizing Committees as well as 2020 Olympic candidates will attend the general assembly.
