Korea has invited companies from around the globe focused on eco-friendly technologies to the 35th International Exhibition on Environmental Technology and Green Energy in Seoul this week, the Ministry of Environment said.

Some 310 companies from 23 countries are expected to showcase about 2,000 of the latest technologies and products at Korea’s biggest exhibition on environment, at COEX from June 11-14.

Their ideas will include household products ranging from a food waste treatment system to air pollution measurement and industrial technologies, such as hydrogen manufacturing and storing.

By inviting some 250 foreign buyers, the four-day event projects approximately 220 billion won ($197 million) in sales profit for domestic companies.

Programs such as B2B networking and a Korea-China environmental industry discussion are scheduled to serve as a platform where the industry officials and companies can network and exchange new ideas.

With some 80 companies invited for a job fair, the nation’s unemployed youths will also have a chance for career counseling in environment-related fields, the ministry said.
