‘All about Cherries’ at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel


During the early summer season, the hotel presents various cherry desserts in a buffet style during the “All about Cherries” event at its lobby lounge bar. The event offers an extensive cherry dessert menu from cherry crumble tart, cherry crème brulee, cherry and vanilla mousse as well as some unique items such as cherry sushi and cherry California roll. A selection of coffee and tea are also available. For teas, traditional Korean tea such as buckwheat tea, mugwort tea, or herb tea and chamomile tea and English breakfast tea are provided. “All About Cherries” is available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday to Sunday until June 30. Birthday party promotion at Seoul Palace Hotel

Gusto, the hotel’s bar, introduces a special birthday promotion “Happy Birthday to You at Bar Gusto.” Starting May 6, guests who come on their birthday get a small birthday cake, one drink (choice of cocktail, wine, draft beer, bottled beer), and one side dish, all for free. In addition, the party can use the karaoke room for free. Also, there will be a live performance by a female vocalist every day after 6 p.m. Reservations are required and IDs with proof of date of birth must be presented. Lotte Hotel Seoul invites Solsongju master Park Heung-seon

The hotel’s Korean restaurant Mugunghwa invites solsongju (pine liquor) master Park Heung-seon for a gala dinner on June 13. It will feature the master’s traditional liquors accompanied by the restaurant’s special dishes such as gujeolpan (vegetables and meats with thin pancakes), chicken porridge with ginseng, sinseollo (royal hot pot with seafood), grilled beef sirloin and steamed rice with lotus leaf. With the secret recipe that has been passed down for 500 years since the Joseon era, solsongju is made from Korean sticky rice, pine needles and spring pine sprouts, which create a smooth and savory flavor with the subtle scent of pine trees. Besides solsongju, Park will also introduce other traditional liquors such as meoruju (wild grape liquor), bokbunjaju (mountain berry liquor). Exclusive membership benefits at Mercure Seoul

Mercure Seoul in Yeoksam-dong is launching a membership program. All members can get two coupons for a one-night stay in the superior room for 90,000 won. There are three options: royal, prestige, and noblesse, each with VIP and platinum options. Royal membership is available for 350,000 won for both VIP and platinum, and prestige membership is 500,000 won for VIP and 1 million won for platinum.
