Cheongju craft biennale names designer, actress as envoys

Organizers of the Cheongju International Craft Biennale 2013 appointed fashion designer Lie Sang-bong and actress Koo Hye-sun as goodwill ambassadors on Tuesday.

Lie and Koo will not only promote the craft festival until it opens, but also engage in audience programs during the event, including “dates with visitors,” the organization committee said.

Koo will also display her own crafts, while Lie plans a fashion show and a special exhibition of products that he designed.

The biennale is scheduled to take place for 40 days from Sept. 11 to Oct. 20 in Cheongju.
