Project group HotSechGodRG released their first music video Tuesday through their cable channel reality show “Handsome Boys of 20th Century.”

HotSechGodRG is a group formed of members from former idol groups H.O.T, Sechs Kies, g.o.d, and NRG. The music video is the group’s first project marking the creation of the group.

NRG’s debut song “I Can Do It!” was picked for the music video in which the former idols salute their past by presenting a perfectly synchronized group dance, wearing orange jump suits, and doing cheesy poses ― filmed in the ’90s style.

The reality show consists of Moon Hee-jun and Tony An from H.O.T, Sechs Kies’ Eun Ji-won, g.o.d’s Danny Ahn, and NRG’s Cheon Myeong-hun. Hugely popular in the ’90s, the singers now reflect on their idol days and do things they couldn’t do in the past. The show delivers the members’ hitherto untold stories, making both the viewers and the members nostalgic for the good old days.

The combination of singers was unthinkable 10 years ago. They took the fan club culture to a different level, with millions of fans in Korea and overseas.

H.O.T was a five-member group that is still regarded as the iconic idol group, breaking numerous records. Sechs Kies was the main rival of H.O.T, and their sudden breakup broke thousands of teenage girls’ hearts. After the era of H.O.T and Sechs Kies, g.o.d took the lead, billed as the “national group.” NRG was one of the forerunners of the Korean wave that enjoyed huge success in China.

As seen through the popularity of last year’s drama “Reply 1997” set in the 1990s, which frequently referred to the rivalry between H.O.T and Sechs Kies, “Handsome Boys of 20th Century” seems to stand a good chance of success.

Meanwhile, “HotSechGodRG” held a fan meeting on May 7 entertaining 250 fans with special performances. The fan meeting will air on QTV.
