Although Psy’s local agency YG Entertainment had previously announced that the rapper’s upcoming single would be released exclusively in Korea on April 12 ― a day before it was to be unveiled globally during a concert ― it has now been confirmed that “Gentleman” will be available worldwide on Friday.
The “Gangnam Style” follow-up single will be released at midnight in 119 countries via local Korean music sites as well as iTunes. The global star completed the music video shoot for “Gentleman” on Tuesday.
The music video will feature the local comedians of the MBC hit reality program “Infinite Challenge” as well as Ga-in from the girl group Brown Eyed Girls. Psy has revealed that his newest dance moves for this soon-to-be-released single are a “Psy Style” take on a familiar traditional Korean dance.
Psy will perform “Gentleman” live for the world to see at his upcoming solo concert on Saturday, April 13 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Although it has been confirmed that the concert will be broadcast live on cable channel Mnet and through live streaming on YouTube and Naver, its availability on UStream is still under negotiation and has not yet been confirmed.
