Singer Kim Jang-hoon will perform at the “pink ribbon marathon party,” one of the biggest U.S. donation events, on March 23, his agency Concert World said on Monday.
Kim is scheduled to stage his concert for about an hour at the party to be hosted by Susan G. Kommen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer foundation, in Los Angeles, after the donation marathon.
About 30,000 people pay about $40 in admission to take part in the pink ribbon marathon and walk. The party after the marathon attracts 100,000 people.

Performances by U.S. bands and winners of ballroom dance contest show “Dancing With The Stars” are scheduled to precede Kim’s performance.
“I am going to introduce my songs at the party. Among them is the national anthem which was sung by Korean independence fighters based in Manchuria, China. I will sing the national anthem to the melody of ‘Auld Lang Syne,’ a Scottish traditional folk song,” Kim told Yonhap News Agency.
“It makes my heart pound at the thought of singing the independence fighters’ national anthem, together with a Korean classical music band and a traditional Korean farmers’ folk band.”
His agency said that his gig was not only for the Korean-American community in the U.S., but would par with a global event, with hi-tech props including robots and a multiethnic dance team.
He will return home after the pink ribbon marathon party, and go to the U.S. again to launch a U.S. concert tour, dubbed “Miracle Tour,” beginning in Los Angeles on May 11.
