Electro-pop trio Clazziquai Project has made a much-anticipated return to the music scene with its fifth full album titled “Blessed.” This comeback is the first full album that the group has released in more than three years.

On Tuesday, the three members DJ Clazzi, Alex and Horan released the 11-track album, which includes the track “Love Recipe” written by Horan herself. The album also includes the trio’s soundtrack single that was released last year titled “Can’t Go On My Own,” from the JTBC romance drama “Can We Get Married?”

Clazziquai’s fifth album for the most part sticks with the band’s trademark electronica pop style much like the album’s early release track “Sweetest Name.” The album also includes songs that have a more R&B and hip-hop feel such as “Love Right” and “Geunyeoneun Widaehae.”

Clazziquai Project was formed in 2001 by DJ Clazzi as an experimental underground music project combing what was then cutting-edge sound mixing electronic beats and jazz-style sounds. Canadian-Korean siblings Alex and Christina Chu joined DJ Clazzi, lending their vocals skills for his experimental sound project. The three released a few singles together and after receiving positive reviews from followers, the group decided to press on and release its first official album. Christina, however, left the band due to her commitments in Canada and was replaced by vocalist Horan.

In 2004, the new trio of Clazziquai Project made its official debut with the release its first studio album, “Instant Pig.” The following year, the group received several music awards including Artist of the Year and the Best Pop award at the Korean Music Awards as well as the Best Soundtrack Award at the Mnet KM Music Video Festival.
