Jaejoong of the idol trio JYJ sold out a 16,000-seat concert venue for his first-ever solo concert in Korea. Tickets to the two-day concert event to be held on Jan. 26 and 27 sold out immediately after tickets went on sale, causing the ticket retailers’ servers to crash.
With so many fans bombarding the site trying to purchase seats, the event set a record for the having the server shut down for the longest period of time, according to representatives of C-JeS Entertainment.
Jaejoong released the slow rock ballad piece “One Kiss” on Tuesday as a prelude to his upcoming solo album, which is set to be released this month. The album, made with the help of former Sinawe rocker Kim Ba-da, is said to highlight Jaejoong’s new rock-inspired music. The concert, titled “Your, My and Mine,” will be organized into three parts ― a fan meeting, a showcase, and a mini-concert ― and held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
