International musical phenomenon Psy shared updates on his upcoming album and its release date, which has been postponed to March at the latest, during a press conference held in Paris on Tuesday.

The “Gangnam Style” rapper told over 80 French journalists in attendance that the new album would feature a new half-Korean, half-English single and a selection of songs from his 12-year career in South Korea.

“To the Koreans it’s going to be like Psy’s greatest hits, but to the world it’s going to be brand new. It’s going to be my debut album worldwide,” said Psy during the press conference.

Psy’s new album was originally scheduled to be released this month, but the continued popularity of hit song “Gangnam Style” enabled him to expand his overseas promotions further, pushing Psy and his agency to delay the new album’s release.

On the question of the style of his upcoming album, Psy said that he would be as “ridiculous” as possible since he believes that is what the fans want to see from him.

He also added that his current fame is not something he achieved since it was the fans who found him on YouTube.

“I can’t say I have success, because it’s kind of a phenomenon,” he said.

The South Korean rapper has been appearing on numerous foreign media outlets while making his name known in the international scene. He ranked in the top 10 on the U.S.’ “American Top 40 Chart (AT Chart)” on Tuesday. “Gangnam Style,” which was listed No. 12 last week, moved up this week to No. 10. He also danced with over 20,000 fans for a massive “Gangnam Style” flash mob event on Monday at the Place du Trocadero in Paris, located across from the Eiffel Tower. French Radio Music channel NRJ organized the event and sent a private jet to fly in the K-pop singer.

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” music video has received over 660 million views and is ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s main “Singles Hot 100” chart.
