Actress and director Ku Hye-sun will hold an art exhibition titled “Afterimage” at Hangaram Art Museum of Seoul Arts Center from Sept. 18-24.

Though her main focus is on acting, the 27-year-old is well known for exploring various creative and artistic genres, including singing, painting, writing, composing as well as directing.

“Afterimage” shows 120 pieces including abstract drawing in pen and oil-paint, nude drawings of women, bizarre creatures and other artistic works that show Ku’s artistic sensitivity and creativity.

This will be her second exhibition after her first exhibition “Tango,” named after her best-selling novel published in 2009. In the previous exhibition held in July 2009, Ku displayed 40 illustrations.

“Ku Hye-sun has diverse patterns of depicting her opinion and thoughts as well as an ability to portray a multi-dimensional scope of objects,” said critic Kim Jong-geun.
