One of the most prominent death metal groups, Cannibal Corpse, will perform at AX-Korea, Seoul, on Oct. 19. The concert, titled “CANNIBAL CORPSE Live in Seoul,” is the band’s first visit to the country since its Korean debut at the 2002 Busan International Rock Festival.

Debuted in 1988, the band is one of the leading groups in the death metal genre. Its members are guitarists Rob Barrett and Pat O’Brien, vocalist George Fisher, drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz and bassist Alex Webster.

The band’s first album “Eaten Back to Life,” released in 1992, was followed by “The Bleeding” (1994) and “Vile” (1995), which both made the Billboard Charts, making Cannibal Corpse the first death metal band ever to place its name on the chart.

The upcoming concert celebrates the release of “Torture,” the band’s first album after a three-year hiatus, in March. The album placed 66th on the Billboard Charts.

Tickets, priced at 88,000 won, can be purchased via Auction Ticket and Interpark starting Friday. For more information, call (02) 3445-9650.
